Hey there, I’m Alexey — a graphic designer with over fifteen years of professional experience, a bachelor’s degree in Design, and a master’s degree in Contemporary Art. I specialize in visual brand identity, working with both product and corporate brands, as well as label and package design.

Hey there, I’m Alexey — a graphic designer with over fifteen years of professional experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Design and a Master’s degree in Contemporary Art. I specialize in logo design and brand identity.

My interests span everything that can be shaped and expressed: letters, signs, logos, identity, typography, form in all its manifestations, image, light, and color. For me, design lives at the intersection of theory and practice, learning and teaching, research and creation. It is both discipline and art — a way to observe, interpret, and rethink the contemporary world.

Professional Path

My professional journey began in advertising agencies and design studios, where I progressed from designer to art director. During this period, I gained solid hands-on experience and developed strong professional and visual thinking skills. Participating in regional and international competitions, including Cannes Lions, became an important part of my professional growth.

Since 2014, alongside my design practice, I have been working in higher education as a lecturer. This path reflects a social and educational mission — sharing knowledge and professional experience with the next generation of designers.

In 2019, independent practice through my own studio became a natural continuation of my professional development after years of agency and studio experience. This stage focuses on strategic thinking, an author-driven approach, and comprehensive projects that combine design, management, and creative leadership.

The Popcorn pattern

Graphics

As a cultural sign, Popcorn carries the collective experience of the 20th century: spectacle, anticipation, and shared moments. As a philosophical concept, it questions the logic of haste and the frenzy of visual consumption. The pressing question becomes: can an image, seemingly light and instantly recognizable, hold enduring meaning and visual memory?

Popcorn answers with a quiet certainty. It shows that a form born in mass culture can transcend its utilitarian origins to become a resilient artistic statement — an image not merely consumed, but lived, lingering in time.

Popcorn — more than visual fast food. Beneath its familiar shape and instant readability lies a rigorously structured design — a descendant of the Unikko pattern, crafted by Maija Isola for Marimekko in 1964.

Here, the rhythm, repetition, and scale of modernist ornamentation are preserved, forming the foundation for
a fresh cultural expression.
